Happy to announce the Makara Enduro-Golf Winter Fundraiser, Sunday July 19th. Lo-fi midwinter mates racing in the world famous Makara Peak Bike Park. All proceeds go back into the trails! Thanks to our supporters: Makara Peak MTB Park Supporters, Mud Cycles, Wellington Mountain Bike Club, SPOKE magazine, Whittakers, Maxxis & Rock 'n' Roll and Adrenaline NZ MTB. Below are preliminary details. We’ll update you as more come to hand. 5 secret stages catering to a range of skill levels - option to ride 2 or 3 stages of your choice, in any order - with 3 hours to complete your race. Stages will be announced the night before - but in the meantime, if you must prepare, then you would be advised to ride as much of the park as possible. Each track has a par (like golf!) and your final position will be based on your total time above (or below) par. Timing will be based on a unique honesty-based system. Cheaters only cheat themselves! Race HQ is the Mud Cycles on the edge of Karori Park. Rego 8.00-9.00, then compulsory briefing at 9.15 before a mass-start at 9.30am. Then back at the race village by 12.30pm for results, beverages and hilarity. Entries on the day only, from 8.00 at Mud Cycles.
