The Wellington Mountain Bike Club in association with Port Nicholson Poneke Cycling Club are proud to present the Mt Victoria Super D – to be held on on Sunday 26th May 2013.
So what is Super D?
A Super D race is best described as a Downhill Cross-Country race. It features a track that includes short technical elements and small jumps from downhill and has some pedalling to ensure that fitness and pedalling speed are rewarded.
The day starts off with an open practice session from 9:30am till 11:30am.
Transport is provided throughout the day to drive competitors from the bottom of the track back up to the top of the hill (where the track begins).
There will be a seeding run (every rider must complete the full track from start to finish) – this is used to order the riders accordingly for their race run.
At 2pm, each rider will have one timed race run from top to bottom of the track – the shortest time takes the win.
