This year our king and queen of the mountain were Jesse Cseh and Iley Nunns.
Thanks to Anjali Pande for the photos!
Alex Chronis Memorial Prize
Congratulations to Iley Nunns for being the most outstanding junior competitor in the enduro this year, and winning the Alex Chronis Memorial prize. This prize, supported by Alex’s employer Worralls Distributors and Giro, remembers the amazing role that Alex played in the bike industry in Wellington.
The prize - a Giro Coalition Spherical helmet - was presented by Alex’s mum Linda. It was amazing to have her and the family along to the event again this year.
Thanks to our supporters
We literally couldn't do this without the support of our amazing sponsors, volunteers and organising crew.
A massive thanks to MyRide Wellington and Giro, SRAM and Charge for their huge selection of spot prizes (and MyRide's bag 'o gold).
As always, much love to Brooklyn Trail Builders, a big thumbs up to the Wellington City Council for getting the trail crew out to give Barking Emu the best trim it's had in years, and a very heart-felt chur to our amazing volunteer team for their work today, and huge amount of effort getting the trails in good form. And to Anjali Pande for her photography (with a broken collarbone). You can find more photos at the Welly MTB Club Facebook page. All the best for the recovery Anjali!
And lastly, thanks to everyone for entering. Your entry fees will support Brooklyn Trail Builders keep at their amazing mahi.
