We collect your personal information to:

• maintain a membership database and support membership renewals

• contact you with Club updates, trail funding and development news, and information on Wellington events.

Wellington MTB Club membership is operated through Trails Wellington. When you become a member of the Wellington Mountain Bike Club, the information you provide is shared with us to enable them to:

• provide updates to you on trail-related activities around Wellington

• activate your membership

• provide you with membership discounts on event entry fees

• provide you with Mountain Bike New Zealand (MTBNZ) affiliation so you may compete at national-level events.

Providing some information is optional.

• If you choose not to provide your contact details, including name and email address, we won’t be able to extend the benefits of Wellington MTB Club membership to you.

We keep your information safe by encrypting the information in our database and by restricting access to the database to those with a valid operational need (e.g. membership administration). Membership payment services are provided via Stripe, who have been audited as a PCI Service Provider Level 1. Event payment services are provided via PayPal, who are PCI Service Provider Level 1 compliant.  Trails Wellington and the Wellington MTB Club do not store or retain any of your payment information.

You can opt out of receiving communications and information from Wellington Mountain Bike Club via the unsubscribe link in our newsletter or correspondence.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at president@wmtbc.org.nz
